What NYC Fire Damage Restoration is
NYC Fire Damage Restoration is an independent referral service for people in New York City with damage from a fire. It is not a restoration company, a contractor, an insurer or a government agency, and it is not connected to the fire department or any city agency. When you send the form, your details go to an independent local restoration provider serving New York City, who can contact you, inspect and quote any work directly.
How it works
Sending a form is free and does not oblige you to hire anyone. Your details are received by the operator of this site and passed to an independent provider. Any inspection, quote, contract and work is between you and that provider. This site is not a party to it and is not responsible for anyone’s work.
No prices and no advice
This site gives no prices of its own and makes no promise about timing, availability or results. Nothing on it is legal, insurance, engineering or medical advice, and nothing on it promises any insurance outcome. For your policy, ask your insurer or agent. For your building, ask the Department of Buildings or an engineer or architect. Check any provider’s credentials and insurance yourself.
Rules and sources
The rules and guidance described on this site are summaries of published sources, named on the page or on the about page. They can change, and a summary can leave things out. Check the source before relying on a detail.
Your decision
Whether to hire a provider is always your decision. Nothing on this site obliges you to accept any quote, and you may decline any proposal a provider makes.
Using the site properly
Please send the form only about real damage to a property you live in, own, manage or are responsible for, and only with your own contact details or details you have permission to give. Do not send false requests or other people’s details without their permission.
Photographs
Photographs on this site illustrate the subject. They do not show a particular provider, a provider’s staff or equipment, or a job arranged through this site.
